The Eliminator in this VIVO Indian Premiere League is played between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore today.

Both the teams will want to go in the qualifier 2 of this IPL season 10. The winner of this match will play the loser of MI Vs RPS match on the 19th of May 2017.

That game will decide the finalist of this year’s Indian Premier League season 10.

Kolkata and Hyderabad had their ups and down in this season. Both are inconsistent as a team. But in this match, they would like to put all things behind and want to win this match to progress into the final.

In the league stages, Kolkata and Hyderabad had won against each other. Now in Eliminator the teams will look to have a great contest.

Kolkata Knight Riders will want to bounce with the loss that they suffered against Mumbai Indians. On the other hand, the Sunrises Hyderabad will want to continue their winning momentum.

The two times champion team Kolkata Knight Riders will bank on the players like Skipper Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Sunil Narnie, Yusuf Pathan and Chris Lynn. They need these players to fire and make a good match out of it.

The defending champs Sunrisers Hyderabad will bank on the openers like Sikhar Dhawan and Skipper David Warner, the middle order batsmen like Kane Williamson, Yuvraj Singh and Moisis Henriques.

Both the champions teams have a dependable bowling attack. For SRH Bhuneshwar Kumar has been the star, he has 23 wickets to his name and he is the purple cap holder for the Sunrisers. Bhuvi has been supported well by Mohd Nabi, Rashid Khan, and 2 young Indian pacers Mohd Siraj and Siddharth Kaul.

For the Knight Riders bowlers like Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Trent Boult, Sunil Narine and Piyush Chawla had made a good name foe themselves. They are the team who bowled out RCB for just 49 runs while defending the modest total of 131 runs.

If Kolkata carries out that performance then SRH will be in deep trouble.

For Hyderabad, one man changes the game for them. It’s none other than their skipper David Warner. His mind blowing 126 runs knock is still fresh on everyone’s mind. He is the player to watch out for them in this contest.

The Knight riders have concern over the form of their captain Gautam Gambhir. He was among the runs when he was opening but when he shifted his position to number 3, his form disappeared. Now he is not among the runs. If KKR wants to progress in the finals then Gambhir’s role in KKR will be a need of the hour for his team. the opening is the best batting position for the skipper.

KKR will also want regular contributions from their seasoned players Robin Uthappa, Yusuf Pathan and Manish Pandey. They are talented players but they are not very consistent for their team in this season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad found another match winner in name of Vijay Shankar. Shankar played a good match winning innings against the Gujarat lions in the last league match. But they will need Deepak Hooda, Naman Ohja and the lower order to do a decent job in these 2 matches for SRH.

The lower order of SRH hasn’t been tested yet. But they failed to deliver in a crunch game against RPS.
