It’s been only five days since the release of the series ‘Sacred Games’ which was launched in Netflix, and a complaint has already been lodged against actor Nawajuddin Siddiqui and the producer of the web series for insulting the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Rajeev Kumar Sinha, a member of the West Bengal Congress committee has also mentioned Netflix’s in his complaint.
Sinha, in his complaint letter to the Kolkata Police, said that Nawajuddin who essays the character of Ganesh Gaitonde in the series “Abused our late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi by calling him fattu, which appears in the sub-title as pu***. Not only that, he further accuses the makers of this series of misinterpreting the facts about the regime of Late Rajiv Gandhi.
However, the officer-in-charge of the Kolkata’s Girish Park police Station has accepted the complaint.
The series ‘Sacred Games’ also stars Radhika Apte, Neeraj Kabi, Amir Basir and Pankaj Tripathy. The director-duo Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, according to experts, have made a master piece. The 8 part series, as per reports, have also been said to have done justice to the Vikram Chandra’s novel, which was published in 2006.
