Five times world boxing champion, Mary Kom and her life was celebrated with the movie Mary Kom. Her role was played by Priyanka Chopra and she indeed awed the audience with her performance. The movie came out in 2014.
- M.S. Dhoni The Untold Story
M.S. Dhoni The Untold Story was thought to be a humble movie before its release but the way it hit the blockbuster mark after its release in 2015, there was no way the people could forget what a marvel this movie was. Based on the life of the former Indian captain and current batsman and skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the movie depicted Sushant Singh Rajput in his role. The actor received due recognition for his performance.
- Sachin: A Billion Dreams
Sachin: A Billion Dreams is based on the life journey of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. The movie is not really a biopic but a collection of interviews and clips of Sachin from his childhood up until he retired from the one day cricket.
- Paan Singh Tomar
Paan Singh Tomar is a movie based on the life of Paan Singh Tomar, an Indian soldier and athlete who won various championships including Asian Games for his running talent. He, however, became one of the most famous dacoit in Indian history because of his financial conditions. The lead role is played superbly by Irrfan Khan.
Mohammad Azharuddin, a fine cricket player of his times, was accused of match fixing due to which he received a lifetime ban from playing cricket. His biopic called Azhar was released in 2016 with EmrAan Hashmi playing his role.
