Priyanka Chopra Jonas-starrer The White Tiger made it to the BAFTA. The British Academy unveiled the longlist for the 2021 BAFTA Awards and the Priyanka Chopra Jonas-Starrer The White Tiger contests nominations in seven categories. The movie which is a nail-biting thriller was streamed on Netflix on January 22. The movie is made in English language and was directed by Ramin Bahrani.
The film is among the 15 films competing for a spot in the final five for the best photo award.
The protagonist of the cinema, Adarsh Gourav, has made it the best longlist performer, including Riz Ahmed for Sound of Metal, late-star Chadwick Boseman for Ma Rainey’s Black Butt.

The other movie that made it to BAFTA was actors Tom Hanks and Anthony Hopkins made a longlist for their films News of the World and The Father, respectively.
Chopra Jonas is in the middle of the best supporting actress nomination. The list also includes Maria Bakalova from Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Ellen Burstyn from Bits of a Guy, Glenn Close from Hillbilly Elegy and Olivia Colman from The Father, among others.
Bahrani, known for movies such as Fahrenheit 451 and 99 Houses, has found references in Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay categories. The film has already earned it a longlist for best cinematography and best editing.
Also starring Rajkummar Rao, The White Tiger has chronicled the remarkable journey of a driver named Balram (Gourav).
It tracks Balram’s rise from a poor villager to a wealthy entrepreneur in India, demonstrating how poverty and lack of opportunities will create and push the animal instinct of survival of a human being.
Chopra Jonas stares as Pinky Madam, a first-generation U.S. immigrant who is married to Rao’s character, Ashok. She has acted as an executive film producer for Emmy award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay.
Netflix has created a film in collaboration with Mukul Deora.
