Ahead of the Lok Sabha Polls 2019, we have seen a number of Bollywood celebs like Hema Malini, Urmila Matondkar, Shatrughna Sinha, and Jaya Prada are trying their luck with the Ballot box. While some of them actively run the election campaigns, some of the Bolly bigwigs urges their fans to go out and cast their vote. But here are some stars from film industry who will not be casting their vote in this election. Celebs like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar and Sunny Leone wont be able to cast their vote.
Earlier, in a tweet post Narendra Modi himself tagged several of Bollywood celebrities and asked them to urge their fans to vote in this election. Alia and Akshay were among them who tweeted in support of PM Modi and asked fans to vote.
But interestingly, while these actors have appealed their fans to vote, they themselves won’t be going to polling booth to cast her vote. Because, ‘Kalank’ star Alia and her mother Soni Razdan holds British passport, as they have British citizenship.
Akshay who was recently seen in ‘Kesari’ and was lauded for his performance, is not eligible to vote because Akki holds a Canadian passport.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is currently shooting for ‘Chapaak’. But that’s not the reason that will keep her away from casting vote. Actually, she holds a Danish Passport. Known to all, Padukone spent her childhood in Bengaluru but she was born in Copenhagen, Denmark.
