Salman Khan has acquired the remake rights of the Marathi film Mulshi Pattern. The Marathi version was released in November. And now Bhaijaan is all set to make its Hindi version.
If the reports are to be believed, Salman’s brother-in-law the ‘Love Yatri’ star Aayush Sharma has bagged the lead role. According to a source, it would be a crime drama which is inspired by a real life story.
While we have seen Aayush as a charming lover-boy and romantic hero in ‘Love Yatri’, he will be seen in his upcoming venture in more serious avatar.
A close source to the development has revealed that earlier this week, Salman had a meeting with Aayush at his office to discuss the project. They have yet to finalise the director and the hunt is on for the leading lady who will be cast opposite to Aayush. The film is expected to go on floors by mid-2019.
“Unlike Aayush’s debut film ‘Love Yatri’, which was a love story, this one is a crime drama and it will see Aayush in a more serious avatar,” the source added.
Aayush will kick off his training in action very soon for the crime-venture.
The Marathi version has featured Om Bhutkar in the lead role and was inspired by a true story which took place in Pune’s Mulshi taluka. The story revolves around farmers who having lost their lands, turn to petty crimes stemming from frustration and poverty.
Some of the farmers then eventually turn into ganglords. It had featured popular actors like Mahesh Manjrekar, Mohan Joshi and Upendra Limaye, which was helmed by Pravin Vitthal Tarde.
Meanwhile, we have learnt from a close source that Aayush Sharma has signed another crime thriller drama which also stars Sanjay Dutt. The film is reportedly going to be the biggest ever gangster film made in Bollywood history.
According to reports, this underworld action thriller will be produced by Ahmed Khan and Studio Five Elements which stars Sanjay Dutt-Aayush Sharma. The rest of the casting for the film is underway. The film is expected to go on floors by May next year.
Aayush’s ‘Love Yatri’ also produced by Salman and released in October with debutant Warina Hussain as his leading lady.
