BJP will scrap Article 370 if Narendra Modi is re-elected as Prime Minister, the party’s chief Amit Shah announced on Sunday while targetting the Congress on the issue of national security in a poll campaign at Chamba, Himachal Pradesh.
He alleged, “The Manmohan Singh-led Congress government did nothing when Pakistan beheaded five Indian soldiers but under the Modi government air strike was carried out in Balakot.”
From the rally, the party president also hit out at Sam Pitroda over his recent comments that he had advised, “We should talk to militants.”
But slamming the comment, Amit Shah told that if Pakistan fired a bullet, we would reply with a shell.
He also attacked former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah’s comment that there should be another prime minister for the state.
Reacting over the comment Shah said, “All this indicated their mindset but if the BJP comes to power again and Modi becomes prime minister, Article 370 will be removed for sure.”
During his whirlwind election tour in the hill state, Shah addressed three rallies on Sunday. He was campaigning in support of Kangra BJP candidate Kishan Kapoor, Hamirpur sitting MP Anurag Thakur and party’s Shimla candidate Suresh Kashyap.
