It’s an incident which ignites the sense of true patriotism when one thinks of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. The incident marks one of the darkest moments in Indian history.
On the occasion of its 100th year, Yellow Turban Films and Sarabjit Bonny Duggal announced officially a film on the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre issue on the Baisakhi.
Reports say, the film will deal with the bravery, scarifies and tragedy in the freedom struggle of thousands of innocent men and women.
With a cast of Bollywood’s A-list actors, directors and producers the film can set a new bench mark in Indian film history. The tragic massacre of innocent protesters in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar on the day of April 13, 1919 remains one of the most horrific memories of British colonial rule in India. This military action against local peoples peacefully protesting against the oppressive Rowlatt Act has since received worldwide condemnation.
A source close to the development revealed that the final cast will soon be locked. And the film requires extensive research since its deals with historical facts. Yellow Turban Films and Sarabjit Bonny Duggal will leave no stones unturned for the film.
In between Bolly celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Sunny Deol, Kiran Kher, Madhur Bhandarker, Bhumi Pednekar among others took to their respective social media handles to pay tribute to the martyrs.
