India has managed to retain top position in the ICC Test rankings, while England remained the number one ODI side in the latest annual rankings released in Dubai on Thursday.
Also, India moved two points in second position in the ODI rankings behind England.
The results from 2015-16 season were purged and outcomes from the 2016-17 and 2017-18 were weighted at 50 percent. It resulted in New Zealand gain three points in the Test rankings to move two points behind India.
Australia has been piped by arch rival England for the fourth spot, after six points from its 2015-16 season gained through four series wins were removed. Eighth-ranked West Indies closed the gap between seventh-placed Pakistan to two points.
