Young and gorgeous actress Janhvi Kapoor is set to be awarded ‘Arets Stjerneskudd’ or ‘Rising Talent of the Year’ by the Norwegian Consulate General in Mumbai, according to reports.
The Boney Kapoor’s daughter is often found grabbing the limelight since making her debut under Karan Johar’s wing in ‘Dhadak’ this year and received a warm welcome in Bollywood industry.
On Tuesday, the actress will be facilitated as part of an evening meant to promote Norwegian cinema.
According cine-intellectuals, this will help India and Norway to build a stronger relationship pertaining to film.
After the announcement, Janhvi shared her excitement, saying, “I made my debut with Dhadak this year. Our film has been seen by audiences across the globe since it released worldwide and many of them including people staying in Norway have their good wishes via social media. This recognition is a pleasant surprise. I am happy to receive this honor and humbled that they chose me.”
Two Norwegian films— ‘What Will People Say’, which is also the country’s official selection for Academy Awards 2019 and ‘The King’s Choice’ that will be screened at the event which is being organized by the government of Norway.
‘What Will People Say’ has been shot entirely in India and features several Indian actors too, like—Adil Hussain, Ekavali Khanna and others.
Director Iram Haq will be presenting his film in the presence of several Bollywood biggies including Janhvi Kapoor and her father Boney Kapoor.
And now if the industry buzz is to be believed, Janhvi Kapoor will romance with Malayalam actor Dalquer Salmaan in the biopic of air force pilot Gunjan Saxena who is India’s first female combat aviator. Gujan Saxena played a pivotal role during the 1999 Kargil War.
A close source to the development revealed Janhvi’s Godfather Kjo will produce the film. South icon Mammootty’s son, Dalquer will be seen opposite to Janhvi. Earlier, Dalquer was seen in the Irrfan Khan-starrer ‘Karwaan’ this year. He also features in ‘The Zoya Factor’, which has Sonam Kapoor as a co-star.
There is a buzz that Karan has also penciled him for another Dharma Project. Is Dalquer Karan’s new blue-eyed boy, while Janhvi is already his eye-candy, who has signed Karan’s ‘Takht’?
Well, time may offer readers the best answer! Janhvi and Dulquer would make an interesting pair and it would be quite unique to see the two share screen space with one another.
This would be Janhvi’s third venture with Dharma Production after ‘Dhadak’ and ‘Takht’-which is scheduled to release in 2020. The third project of Kapoor-girl will go on floors in the mid of 2019.
