After her first ever directorial venture with ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, Kangana is once again prepared to don the director’s hat. And this time, she will helm an action drama based on a real-life story.
Confirming the news the ‘Queen’ actress said “I am on the verge of announcing my next directorial venture. It’s an action film, an epic drama. It has taken a lot of my time. Currently, we are putting everything in order, but we have locked the script. We will be doing a photo shoot, soon after, which we plan to release the poster, too.”
Kangana’s second venture is said to be mounted on a large scale but will be different from any other epic dramas that have been made in recent times. However, the actress revealed that procuring high-budget films for a female lead can be difficult.
But with ‘Manikarnika’, it has been worked wonders at the box office, the actress feels confident that getting a budget shouldn’t be an issue.
Further, the ‘Manikarnika’ actress said, “There are a lot of great stories to be told and actresses today are bringing a lot of business, too. I am Happy with the way ‘Manikarnika’ worked for me as an actor and also as a director. Now, it is the right time to start work on my second directorial venture.”
Recently, she wrapped up ‘Panga’ in Delhi and will soon resume shooting in Kolkata, according to reports. She will be seen in ‘Mental Hai Kya’ and ‘J Jayalalithaa’ biopic next.
