As the voting in the national capital began for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s candidate for East Delhi Gautam Gambhir urged voters in Delhi to cast their ballot on Sunday as residents of the national capital began voting in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha election.
“Done my bit !! It’s your turn now.. #GoVoteDelhi,” the 37-year-old cricketer-turned-politician tweeted.
He also posted a photograph with him and his wife Natasha Jain holding their voter’ ID card as they queued up to vote in a polling booth on Old Rajendra Nagar.
Gautam Gambhir, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in March this year, is up against Congress candidate Arvinder Singh Lovely, a three-time MLA and a former minister in the Sheila Dikshit’s government, and the AAP’s Atishi.
