Prime Minister-elect Modi on Monday morning offered prayers at the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple, days after being renominated as the prime minister of the country.
Modi was accompanied by BJP president Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Later in the day, Modi in Varanasi stressed on the importance of perfect synergy between the government and the party, saying “work and workers” together can create wonders.
Modi was addressing the party cadres in his political constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on his thanksgiving visit there.
Thanking the people of the city for voting him into the Lok Sabha for a second term, Modi said, the nation has elected him as the Prime Minister but for people, he will remain a worker.
Modi paid tributes to the BJP workers who laid down their lives for the party’s cause.

He said his government will ensure Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas while stating that there is no alternative to transparency and hard work.
Modi reiterated that the BJP is committed to upholding the values of democracy in the country.
