Siddiqui Sahaab may be busy with his projects but that has not stopped him from concentrating on social causes that the actor believes in.
The ‘Manto’ man has decided to support environmental conservation, which has become a big concern in urban areas. The actor even encouraged people to take steps to fight the issue.
Several reports suggest that Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has lent support to an initiative aimed at increasing greenery in Mumbai, urging people to plant more trees to curb various environmental problems and bring a change.
In fact, the actor spoke about his latest initiative that he has been promoting in press reports. In his statement, he elaborated on the issues that Mumbai is facing as a city owing to its heavy traffic and high pollution rates. “Mumbai is facing several environmental problems that are on the rise and the receding green cover is one of the key aspects amplifying this issue,” said Nawaz.
The actor also asserted that this initiative will prove positive for the citizens’ health too and is a dire measure to ensure their safety.
Nawaz also mentioned that this initiative will help create awareness about the importance of planting trees and inspire the citizens to take this initiative forward. “Promoting tree plantation in our own vicinity is a basic but vital step towards preservation of the environment, which in turn will positively impact the health and safety of citizens.”
On the work front, he made his south debut with Rajinikanth starrer ‘Petta’. The film released last week and opened on a positive note. And now, the actor is gearing up for his upcoming venture ‘Thackeray’ where he will be seen in legendary politician Balasaheb Thackeray’s role. ‘Thackeray’ is all set to hit the screens on January 25, the Republic Day weekend.
