While an indecisiveness keeps prevailing on alliance, Congress party on Sunday declared it was not in talks with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) or any other party for alliance in Haryana and Punjab for the Lok Sabha polls.
Congress will soon declare its candidates for the two states, the party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala told media in New Delhi.
He, however, said his party was yet to reach a decision on forging an alliance with AAP in the national capital.
On Saturday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi had discussed the issue again with his party leaders of Delhi unit.
Congress’ Delhi unit has been against forming any alliance with the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP party, as it is well-known that it is Congress’ hardcore voter-chunk which has been snatched from it by the AAP.
