Followed by a counter terrorism diplomatic move, Pakistan has shared input about a possible IED attack on a highway in South Kashmir with Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
Following the input all security agencies in the Kashmir valley have been put on alert.
Intelligence sources on Sunday told media, the attack have been planned to carry out in Kashmir’s Pulwama district near Awantipora. The reports also stated that the attack can be carry out to avenge for the killing of Zakir Musa, who was an Al-Qaeda affiliated.
The official said that Pakistan has shared this input of a possible ‘IED attack’ with India’s High Commission in Islamabad and also with the US. Therefore, both Pakistan and US have alerted India about a possible attack.
Keeping the intensity of Pulwama attack in mind and making Amarnath Yatra smooth and successful the security forces have kept been high alert and the valley has been cordoned off by several layers of security guard rail, a State Police stated.
A couple of days ago, five CRPF personnel were martyred and one terrorist was killed in a terror attack believed to be carried out by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists on a joint team of security forces in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
