The Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday sought to point out that an article showing India’s Prime Minister in poor light in the TIME magazine has been actually written by a man from Pakistan, the arch rival of India.
The party sought to underline that any Pakistani would like to describe the prime minister of its enemy country, especially after Balakot air strikes on JeM terror camp in Pakistan.
BJP leader and spokesperson Sambit Patra in an interaction with media said: “The man who called Prime Minister Modi ‘divider in chief’ is a Pakistani citizen. They hate Narendra Modi because he did the surgical strikes and Balakot air strike on JeM terror camp.”
He also said that Prime Minister Modi is an unifier as he implemented Good and Services Tax (GST) which unifies 17 taxes. He added; “Before 2014 Lok Sabha polls, articles were also written against PM Modi and the same thing is happening again.”
Besides TIME magazine article the party also hits out Navjot Singh Sidhu over his silence on Sam Pitroda’s remarks on 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
Sidhu, former BJP leader, recently switch side to Congress party and now can be usually found singing paeans of Congress party which he always lampooned all these years.
Patra alleged: “Sidhu did not say anything on Sam Pitroda’s remarks on 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
“Sidhu has joined hands with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath who is also an accused in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots,” he added
On Thursday, Pitroda, who has been the advisor of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, had said “if the 1984 anti-Sikh riots happened then they just happened. So what”.
