Vivek Oberoi starrer ‘PM Narendra Modi’ has finally hit the screens after being delayed for almost than a month. Helmed by Omung Kumar, the biopic was previously scheduled to release on April 5.
On April 11, the Election Commission had stalled the film, citing model code of conduct. After a long fight, the makers finally got a release date- 24 May.
After a landslide victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party at the general elections, there is expected to be more footfall at the theatres to watch the Modi biopic, which is based on the life of Narendra Modi. Now according to reports, Film ‘PM Narendra Modi’ is riding high on the success of NaMo’s landslide win in the election results. Cine-lovers are rushing to theatres to watch the life story of our honorable Prime Minister.
This week saw two big Bollywood releases- Vivek starrer PM Narendra Modi and Arjun Kapoor starrer India’s Most Wanted. And report says, Modi biopic won the competition. PM Narendra Modi film collected Rs. 2.50 crore nett, whereas Arjun Kapoor’s film managed to earn 2 crore nett on the opening day.

According to the Box Office India report: “PM Narendra Modi won the race on day one between Hindi films as it collected in the 2.25-2.50 crore nett while India’s Most Wanted collected 1.75-2 crore nett. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that Modi biopic picked up pace in the evening, as it collected on Friday Rs. 2.88 crore nett. The former probably helped by the election win yesterday as was better in the Hindi markets.”After a couple of unlucky years, Vivek Oberoi is back with a bang.
