To review the common interest between two nations in respect of bilateral, regional and global issues, Foreign Secretaries of the US and India met in Washington on Monday evening.
Vijay Gokhale, the Indian Foreign Secretary, arrived in the US on Sunday.
It was for bilateral Foreign Office Consultation and Strategic Security Dialogue with his American counterpart Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale and Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Andrea Thompson.
Gokhale arrived in the US on Sunday to maintain a rescheduled trip, to be held hold much before the Pulwama attack.
This meeting drew media interest because both the nations (US-INDIA) shared same table while the two neighbouring country of South Asia (India-Pakistan) are busy with diplomatic tension followed by Pulwama attack.
