The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday slammed Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi’s Lucknow roadshow as nothing but a “chor show” (thieves’ exhibition).
In a reaction to the roadshow, BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh Minister Sidharth Nath Singh said: “They are calling it a road show. But BJP sees it as “chor machaye shor” (the thief making a noise).
“Gandhi-Vadra family is out on bail. They cannot hold roadshow but a Chor show. People of UP will come to see the corrupt faces of those, who looted Rs 12 lakh crore of this country,” he told while talking to a news agency.
After being appointed as general secretaries of Eastern and Western UP both Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Jyotiraditya Scinidia respectively made their first trip to Uttar Pradesh especially in Lucknow, accompanied by the party’s Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
Both brother-sister duo and Jyotiraditya completed a scheduled roadshow in Lucknow, widely being showcased as a show of strength of Congress.
