BJP leader Smriti Irani has asked the general public to take care of their land as Robert Vadra, husband of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, has expressed a desire to campaign for Congress.
He has said he would campaign for the Congress party all over Indian in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
After learning about his desire, Smriti Irani, the Union Textile Minister, who will take on Congress chief Rahul Gandhi in Amethi constituency, as a BJP candidate warned people to protect their land.
She said, “I just want to say that wherever Robert Vadra goes for campaign, the public should be alert and save their land.”
Meanwhile, Senior BJP leader and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, said, “I do not know if this will be an asset for the campaign of Congress party or for the campaign of BJP.”
Earlier on Sunday when Rober Vadra was asked by a reporter if he would campaign for Congress, he replied: “Yes, all over the India, after the filling of nominations (by Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi).”
He also said he would also be present with his mother-in-law Sonia Gandhi and brother-in-law Rahul Gandhi during their filing of nominations.
