Inshallah, which reunites director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan after a hiatus of 19 years, will hit the screens on Eid 2020. Salman and Bhansali have previously worked on ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ as well.
The epic romance drama helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be co-produced by Salman Khan Films and Bhansali Productions Private Limited (BPPL). Salman is known for releasing
e his movies during the time of Eid every year. Hence, it will SLB and Alia Bhatt’s first ever film to be released on the occasion of Eid.
Announcing the film release date, Prerna Singh, CEO of BPPL, stated, “We at Bhansali Productions are happy to confirm that the film hits theatres on the Eid of 2020.”
This is for the first time the Bollywood bubbly Alia Bhatt will be seen in Bhansali’s film and at the same time, she will be sharing the screen space with superstar Salman Khan for the first time. ‘Inshallah’ will clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ which is also scheduled for a 2020 Eid release.
Reports suggest that Salman will essay the role of a businessman who is in his 40s while Alia will be playing the role of an actress who is in her 20s. So this will be a different-age love story.
