Taking a strong exception to the Congress’ targeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the Pulwama terror attack, BJP national president Amit Shah slammed the Congress for mud-slinging, saying their allegations wouldn’t affect the voters.
The Congress had claimed that while the nation was mourning the loss of CRPF troopers, Modi was ‘shooting for a film till evening’.
Rebutting the claim, the BJP president said: “On the day of the incident, the PM was at a programme. Make as many allegations as you want.”
Speaking at the Shakti Kendra Pramukh Sammelan in Rajahmundry, Shah said: “The nation’s PM works 18 out of 24 hours. Raising allegations that he doesn’t care for the nation’s security won’t make any difference to the voters.”
He added: “The Kashmir which is causing all these problems, it’s because of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. If Sardar Patel was the nation’s first PM, then we wouldn’t have these issues.”
