Uttar Pradesh police got a breakthrough in Smriti Irani’s aide Surendra Singh murder case, as they have taken three suspects into custody in Amethi.
Though it is widely being circulated that he was killed due to old rivalry, it is being suspected that he was killed for showing loyalty to Amethi’s MP and BJP leader Smriti Irani.
Police have also seized a country made pistol and other belongings from the accused identified as Naseem; Ramchandra and Dharmanath Gupta.
The Director General of Police O P Singh stated before media: “We have arrested three murder suspects. We have recovered a country made pistol from their possessions. Moreover, a blood stained towel was also recovered from one accused. We have sent all the evidence for forensic exam.”
The state police chief also said on the basis of all evidence it is very clear that five murder suspects and victim had a local level political rivalry.
‘Two suspects are still absconding. We are tracking the two other suspects and further investigation is underway,’ said DGP.The police assured that a motorbike that was used in the crime will also be recovered.
