The attack launched on the Karachi harbor during 1971 Indo-Pakistan war and its aftermath will now explored in recently announced Bollywood venture. After ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, a mainstream Bollywood movie is being planned around ‘Operation Trident’, which is one of the most audacious naval attacks the world has ever witnessed. It will be another venture on India-Pakistan war on wide screen.
Tentatively titled ‘Navy Day’, the film will be helmed by Razneesh Ghai. Rajneesh is renowned personality in the advertising industry and bankrolled by T-Series honcho Bhushan Kumar jointly with Ellipsis Entertainment.
A source close to the development revealed, the development of the project is currently in progress and principal photography will commence next year, 2020.
Producer Bhushan Kumar said about his upcoming venture ‘Navy Day’, “The operation was one of the most successful in modern naval history after World War 2. Our navy suffered no losses and caused heavy causalities on the enemy side…”
