Over the last couple of days there seems to be a shock response with regard to Pakistani media as well as Pakistani journalists. There’s also been a lot of confusion in the Pakistani media about why exactly the world hasn’t responded to Pakistanis vociferous social media presence about India’s revocation of article 370. Unfortunately, for your average Pakistani the descriptive terminology used, with a little bit of digging are quickly erased. Pakistani media are quick to throw out words are racism, fascism, supremacism and often this list goes on. Unfortunately, the facts however are far from the truth. Instead of looking over the last few days one has to look over decades and perhaps even centuries of Indian tolerance to get the bigger picture.
Pakistan is only 50 years old and carved from India and yet has been one of the primary instigators with regard to full-scale genocide. One only needs to look up the numbers with regard to their control of East Bangladesh prior to independence to understand the scale of genocide of Bangladeshis that took place on ethnic basis purely because they did not meet up to Pakistani standards. On some levels this rivals even the Holocaust by numbers killed.
Pakistani butchering of Shias is well known. Not a single Friday goes by without conflict violence between Pakistani Sunnis trying to eradicate Shias and Ahmadiyya’s all over Pakistan. This happens with such regularity that Pakistani citizens are pretty much numb to the scenario. In fact, it seems odd if no violence has happened within the last week! You can pretty much count on a mosque bombing to happen with regularity every Friday of the year. Not only that, it is with increasing and brutal regularity that the Sunni Muslims often abduct Hindu girls by violence and threats to the family with alarming regularity all across Pakistan especially Sindh province.
Not only Sunni versus Shiite violence but Pakistanis are also usually involved in Secretarian violence between Punjabi Muslims versus Sindhis, Balochis, Afghanis and Kashmiris of Pakistan occupied Kashmir being Gilgit. Pakistan has also been the nodal country in the world harboring terrorists such as the infamous Osama bin Laden while categorically denying repeatedly to the rest of the world that he was not present in Pakistan.
Let’s get this straight, India has been the world’s leading protector of human rights when it comes to various ethnic groups in the world. India has protected Tibetans from China. It has protected Syrian Christians from Catholic Inquisition. It is protected Shias, Ahmadiyya’s, Jews, Sikhs, Parsis, Bahai, Chin Burmese and too many religions to name because that is the identity of India. That is the identity of Hindus and Sanathana Dharma and the idea in the world is one family, Vasudeva Kutumbakam.
Fact is that India has a millennium of history with regard to protection of minorities and human rights and equality. On the other side of the coin Pakistan has a history of genocide rivaling the Holocaust in numbers killed because of ethnic as well as religious violence. Unfortunately, those ideas persist across the border in the belief system that one Punjabi Muslim is equal to 10 infidels or Kufr.
It has also led to an uncomfortable fact of trying to rationalize why Pakistan continues to face defeats on every military as well as social economic front with regard to its neighbor India since independence. While India is planning to launch probes onto the moon, Pakistanis can only hope to reach some parity by Twitter messages of blocking Indian airspace.

Eminent Pakistani journalists have indeed fallen far from the tree of actual journalism. You cannot be free of speech and publish anything in Pakistan where an overhanging sword hangs above your head by the ISI. Hence, we should try to take it into perspective, that many of these eminent Pakistani journalists are meant to institute a policy of Taqiyya, i.e. lying for the cause of Islam.
India however, has far greater objectives for the future. Led by the dynamic leadership of Modi and Shah, they will continue to show no fear in radically taking on decades of festering policy that have inhibited India. The future is indeed bright for all Indians and one must not take cognizance of media channels supported by foreign agencies that seek to disparage the glorious equality that has been India.
