‘Uri’ star Vicky Kaushal, who featured in Karan Johar’s Dharma Production and Junglee Pictures’ ‘Raazi’, is now all set to reunite with producer Karan Johar for an upcoming project of Dharma production, as he has bagged a key role for the same.
After a successful run in 2018 with various roles in films such ‘Sanju’ and ‘Manmarziyaan’, the actor is now all set to try his hand at a horror flick as a lead. And if the reports are to be believed, Bhumi Pednekar will also be seen in a cameo role in the film. This is for the first time the Bollywood actors duo are pairing up.
Vicky-Bhumi’s upcoming venture is a high-concept horror film. Unlike some quintessential horror films that are set in haunted houses, this one revolves around a ship that has been abandoned on the shore, according to reports.
The untitled film marks the directorial debut of Bhanu Pratap Singh, who worked as an assistant director with Shashank Khaitan in ‘Dhadak’.
We have learnt from a close source to the development that Vicky Kaushal has been quietly shooting for the film in Mumbai for over a month now and a major portion of the film is already complete.
The source also revealed that it will be a 15-day schedule for Bhumi and Vicky. Shooting will be wrapped up by next month and the makers are looking to release the film in the second half of 2019.
The untitled project is being produced on a tight budget and the post production is not expected to take a lot of time.
The source also added that unlike most films in the horror genre, this venture will rely on innovative cinematography and background music rather than extensive VFX.
And not to miss, Vicky and Bhumi will also be seen together in another venture from Dharma production and that is Karan Johar’s magnum opus ‘Takht’, which is expected to hit the screens by 2020.
