Agriculture Minister Shivraj Chauhan gave a big relief to the farmers who were ‘marching to Delhi’

Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made the important announcement amid the farmers’ Delhi march, which is facing increasing numbers of farmers in the capital. Under the recently released ‘Dilli Kooch’ plan, farmers have decided to march towards the national capital with their demands, to stop which the borders of Delhi have been sealed. Tear gas shells are being fired to disperse the farmers at Shambhu border.

Meanwhile, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured in the winter session of Parliament that the Modi government will buy all agricultural produce at the minimum support price (MSP). He said, “I want to assure through this House that all agricultural produce will be bought at the minimum support price. This is the Modi government, and we are confident of fulfilling Modi’s guarantee.”

The Agriculture Minister specifically gave this assurance on a day when farmers were trying to reach Delhi. He accused the opposition party’s government of never taking the interests of farmers seriously. Chauhan said that the previous UPA government had refused to accept the recommendations of the MS Swaminathan Commission. His statement came when the Speaker of the House Jagdeep Dhankhar asked Chauhan to present documents to support his claims.
