A Hindu boy was likely to be lynched like the young Rinku Sharma who was killed recently in Delhi. The boy lives in an area majorly populated by Muslim community. The fate which happened to Delhi’s Rinku Sharma was narrowly avoided by a Hindu resident in the Mumbai Muslim-dominated Malwani area after a communally accused mob tried on Tuesday night to barge into his home. According to the Legal Rights Observatory, a legal advocacy organisation, a group of 15-20 Muslims were allegedly barge into the house of Hindu youth on the Chheda Complex. https://twitter.com/LegalLro/status/1364488199272357889?s=20
But the crowd did not break into the house and the man had been spared from a disaster. This case has odd similarities to Rinku Sharma’s gruesome killing in Mangolpuri in Delhi. A mob had stormed the house of Sharma and killed him on the suspected claim surrounding the fundraising of Ram Mandir’s construction at Ayodhya.
The incident took place in Malwani after the survivor suffered the continuing persecution of the Muslim youth in the city. According to reports, on Tuesday, the Hindu survivor contacted a group of Muslim young people who made unexpected remarks towards passers-by and asked them to refrain from doing this. The party threatened him with dire consequences, disrupted by opposition from the Hindu man. After the conflict, 15-20 people assembled outside the Hindu man’s house and threatened to barge into his house.
Since local residents in the area intervened and convinced people to relent. The situation was eventually rescued. The police allegedly dismissed the allegation when the victim entered police station in order to file a FIR against the goons and rejected this incident as a slight alterscope between two “mates.”
