The Bharatiya Janata Party has criticized Congress leader Salman Khurshid for equating Hindutva with hardline jihadi groups in his book. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that it has not only hurt the sentiments of Hindus but also deeply hurt the soul of India.
He accused the Congress of doing politics of hate and dividing the society on the basis of religion. Bhatia also alleged that such comments were made at the behest of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi and both the leaders should give an explanation on the issue.
