BJP has suspended its former spokesperson Kishan Singh Solanki for anti-party activities. The party’s action against Solanki came hours after he shared on social media a ‘selfie’ with Punjab Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Bhagwant Mann.
Solanki had served as the spokesperson of the party till about six months ago. He has been suspended for six years with immediate effect. Solanki shared a picture of himself with Bhagwant Mann on his Facebook page, with the caption, “Thank you Bhagwant Mann ji for the birthday wishes”.
BJP’s Gujarat unit spokesperson Yajnesh Dave said Solanki was part of the state BJP media team and served as spokesperson, but is no longer holding any post. According to Solanki’s Facebook page, he had also served as a national executive member of the BJP Kisan Morcha.
