In Madhya Pradesh, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has got a huge success in the urban local body elections. Counting of votes for the second round of urban body elections was conducted. Out of the total 16 municipal corporations, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has got success in 9 corporations, while the Congress will be able to have its mayors in five municipal corporations.
Aam Aadmi Party has got one seat, while the rebel candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party will also get an opportunity on one seat. The specialty of these elections is that out of the 16 municipal corporations, nine will be headed by women.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has won more than 85 percent of the seats in the municipal corporations, while the Congress has got success in 13 percent of the municipal corporations. Aam Aadmi Party and Asaduddin Owaisi’s party have got success in opening account in these elections.
Talking about the municipality, it has a chance to capture 57 out of 76 seats, which is 4 seats more than the last time. There was no change for Congress. She had won 18 municipalities earlier also, this time also the same figure. Many of these seats are still stuck as independents are the deciders in most of the places. Whoever they go with, the president will be theirs.
