Blast in West Bengal’s Birbhum where crude bombs were stored

The blast reportedly took place at a house in Jalalnagar village in Birbhum district. Crude bombs had been stored in the house, police said.

Locals claimed that the house where the blast took place belongs to a TMC worker, identified as Sheikh Shaukat.

They added that the TMC worker does not stay in the house.

Speaking to India Today, TMC’s Shaukat said, “I have not been staying in this house for a long time now. I have no knowledge or idea as to who kept these crude bombs and when.”

No one has been injured in the incident.

Police said they are investigating the matter.
