The CBI on Friday raided 21 places in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), including the premises of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Aarav Gopi Krishna, after registering an FIR in the Delhi Excise Policy case.
He said that during the raids, CBI teams reached 21 places, including the premises of Sisodia and four public servants including AGMUT cadre IAS officer of 2012 batch and former Excise Commissioner Krishna.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena had recommended a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Excise Policy 2021-22.
In addition, the tender was followed by “deliberate and gross procedural lapses” to “give undue advantage to those seeking liquor trading licenses”, officials said.
