Cow vigilante murdered in Mathura, Yogi orders strict action

A horrific incident shook the entire Mathura region on Saturday morning in the sacred land of Braj. Cow protector Chandrashekhar, known as “Farsa Wale Baba,” was crushed to death by cow smugglers near Navipur village in the Kosikalan police station area. The incident occurred on the morning of March 21st while Chandrashekhar was engaged in his regular cow protection activities.

As news spread, the streets of Mathura erupted. Angry cow vigilantes and local residents blocked the Chhata National Highway, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. When police and administration officials arrived at the scene, the crowd’s anger escalated, and they began pelting the police with stones. Police had to use lathicharge to disperse the crowd.

Police said one suspect involved in the incident was arrested at the scene, while three others fled. The arrested suspects are being interrogated, and several teams have been formed to search for the absconding suspects. Security has been tightened in the area.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the incident and directed officials to take strict action, saying the culprits would not be spared under any circumstances. Cow vigilantes have warned that if arrests are not made soon, they will intensify their protests.
