Delhi Shopping Festival to be organized from January 28 to February 26 next year: Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Wednesday that Delhi Shopping Festival will be organized in the city from January 28 to February 26 next year and it will be the biggest such festival in the country. He told that people from the country as well as abroad will participate in it and will enjoy shopping along with knowing about Delhi, its culture, food. Thousands of employment opportunities will be created through this event.

Kejriwal said his government is in talks with several hotels and airlines to provide special ‘packages’ to people visiting Delhi during this period. This will be India’s biggest ‘Shopping Festival’ and in the coming few years we will make it the biggest ‘Shopping Festival’ in the world. During this, Delhi will be decorated like a bride and huge discounts will also be given on the products.

As part of its employment budget this year, the Kejriwal government had announced to organize ‘Delhi Shopping Festival’ and ‘Wholesale Shopping Festival’ with an outlay of Rs 250 crore.
