Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Draupadi Murmu becoming the President of the country is an important moment for the country especially for the poor, downtrodden and downtrodden. Modi said the entire nation watched the swearing-in ceremony with pride. He said that President Murmu has given a message of hope and compassion in his address after taking oath.
Murmu, who began her journey from community service as a teacher to a councilor and then as an MLA and minister in Odisha before taking over as governor in 2015, said she has realized the meaning of life through public service.
Quoting the famous poet Bhim Bhoi, who comes from the tribal community, he said, “Mo jiban pache narke padi thau, jagato uddhav heu”, which means that working for the welfare of the world is more than one’s own interests.
