Eknath Shinde on Thursday afternoon left for Mumbai from Goa, where he will meet Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Shinde told reporters outside the resort, “I am going to Mumbai to meet the Governor of Maharashtra. Right now all the other MLAs are living in Goa.”
Sources said Shinde is also likely to meet senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Devendra Fadnavis, who is likely to become the chief minister again.
Uddhav Thackeray resigned as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Wednesday night, paving the way for the BJP to return to power.
