Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has said that the government is working on a comprehensive plan to eradicate malaria and tuberculosis from the country. He said that the government aims to make a country free from tuberculosis by 2025 and malaria by 2030.
In a program organized in New Delhi on the occasion of World Malaria Day, Dr. Mandaviya said that the Health Ministry will soon launch a campaign to eradicate tuberculosis and malaria.
The Health Minister said that since 2015, there has been a reduction of 86 percent in malaria and 79 percent in deaths due to tuberculosis. He called upon all the stakeholders to make collective efforts to eradicate malaria. He said that soon indigenous malaria vaccine will be made in the country. Research is going on for this.
