Grand finale of Maha Kumbh: Festival of faith and unity of 140 crore Indians

The Maha Kumbha concluded in Prayagraj on January 13, in which more than 66 crore devotees took a holy dip at the Sangam banks. Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his thoughts on this Maha Kumbha in his blog, calling it a “Maha Yagya of Unity”. He mentioned that in this Maha Kumbha, a wonderful scene of unity and faith of 140 crore countrymen was seen, which is a symbol of India’s social consciousness.

PM Modi called the Maha Kumbh a worthy example of study for modern management and emphasized that crores of people reached Sangam without any formal invitation. He described the participation of youth as particularly important, which makes it clear that Indian youth is conscious of its cultural values. The record number of devotees involved in the Maha Kumbh set a new benchmark.

PM Modi considered the organization of Maha Kumbh as an important tradition contributing to the development of India’s national consciousness. He said that this Maha Kumbh is an inspiration towards the creation of a developed India. He appealed to everyone to carry forward this Maha Yagya of unity.

PM Modi also apologized to the public for any shortcomings in the organization and praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He also said that the residents of Prayagraj have played an important role in making this Maha Kumbh a success, which is a reflection of their spirit of service.
