Heavy pre-monsoon rains in Kerala have damaged crops and damaged houses in many parts of the state. Thunderstorm accompanied with rain lashed Kollam, Ernakulam and Kozhikode districts yesterday and lightning struck at many places.
Marine Enforcement Branch rescued a boat along with seven fishermen who were stranded due to engine failure at Alpura beach.
Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rain and thundershower activities in Kerala till Sunday. The concerned districts have been alerted about this.
