India’s Avani Lekhara has created history by winning a gold medal in the women’s 10m air rifle shooting at the Tokyo Paralympics. In the final, Avani topped with 249 decimal six points. He has also equaled the world record along with setting the Paralympic record. In the men’s discus throw, Yogesh Kathunia won the silver medal with a throw of 44.3 8m discus. In the javelin throw event, Devendra Jhajharia won the silver medal with a throw of 64.3 5m, while Sunder Singh Gurjar won the bronze medal with a throw of 62.5-8m.
In Paralympics Avani Lakhera won gold in shooting, Yogesh Kathunia won discus and Devendra won silver in javelin throw.
