India defeated the West Indies by 7 wickets in the second Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium to win the two-match Test series 2-0. Yashasvi Jaiswal , Shubman Gill , and Kuldeep Yadav played key roles in the victory.
India, batting first after winning the toss, declared their first innings at 518/5 . Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant 175 , while captain Shubman Gill made an unbeaten 129.Jomel Warrican took three wickets for the West Indies.
In response, the West Indies were bundled out for 248 in their first innings. Alick Athanase scored 41 and Shai Hope 36 for the team. Kuldeep Yadav took five wickets for India , while Ravindra Jadeja took three. India took a 270-run lead on the first innings, forcing the West Indies to follow on.
In the second innings, John Campbell (115) and Shai Hope (103) scored brilliant centuries for the West Indies. Justin Imlach also made an unbeaten 50 , helping the team reach 390. For India, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets each , while Mohammed Siraj took two.
India were set a target of 121 runs to win , which they achieved for the loss of 3 wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal (8) was dismissed early, but KL Rahul (58*) and Sai Sudarshan (39) formed a strong partnership. After the dismissal of Shubman Gill (13), Rahul completed his half-century to lead the team to victory.
For the West Indies, captain Roston Chase took two wickets and Jomel Warrican took one.
India won the first match of the series by an innings and 140 runs in Ahmedabad , completing a 2–0 clean sweep.
