On the auspicious occasion of Maghi Purnima, which was celebrated at Maha Kumbh 2025, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, along with other prominent leaders sent greetings to devotees, saints and citizens. On this day, Chief Minister Yogi in his message on the social media platform ‘X’ wished happiness, prosperity, and good fortune to the visitors.
More than 48.83 million people took a dip in the Sangam in this grand event, making traffic and security arrangements a major challenge. The police and the fair administration ensured extensive arrangements for the safe and smooth arrival of the pilgrims. ‘No vehicle’ zones were declared so that better crowd management could be possible.
These steps taken by the administration have proved to be of great help, according to Shri Vaibhav Krishna, DIG, Prayagraj. Bathing facilities for pilgrims are being provided through various measures including crowd management, parking, and traffic diversion. This Maha Kumbh, which began on January 13, 2025, will end with Mahashivratri on February 26, holds a significant place globally as a spiritual and cultural confluence.
