Most parts of North India are in the grip of heat wave

In Delhi, people are facing heat wave in the month of April this year as compared to the last four years. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be 42 degree Celsius today. Yesterday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 43.6 degrees Celsius, seven notches above normal.

Most parts of North India are also in the grip of heat wave. In the last few days, most parts of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh recorded maximum temperatures of six to ten degrees Celsius above normal.

According to the Meteorological Department, Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh was the hottest city yesterday where the temperature was recorded at 47.1 degree Celsius.
