Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who faced trolling (ridiculousness on the internet) for his emotional statement ‘I will come back’ ahead of the 2019 assembly elections, said on Monday that he would stop such “trollers”. Forgive me and take my revenge.
Ahead of the 2019 assembly elections in the state, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Fadnavis had said, “Me punha yein” (I will be back), with many ‘memes’ (sarcastic comments) doing the rounds on social media.
Shinde was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra on June 30 and Fadnavis as the Deputy Chief Minister. On Monday, Fadnavis said in the House, “I had to face tremendous trolling for my ‘I will come back’ statement. I will forgive the trollers and take revenge on them.”
