Neeraj Chopra on Thursday clinched a national record-breaking silver medal at the prestigious Diamond League, missing the javelin from quite a distance of 90 meters but is confident that he will achieve the target this year.
Neeraj managed to break into the Diamond League top three for the first time. The 24-year-old threw the javelin 89.94 meters in his first attempt, missing out on 90 meters by just six centimeters.
Chopra told JSW Sports after winning the silver medal, “The first throw was very good, I feel good. It was not like that had to be done in the first throw itself. Was very close to 90 meters, and looked like I would do it, but it feels good if I did my best
