Nitin Gadkari has said that soon a new law will be implemented across the country regarding noise pollution. Under this law, the horns in the vehicles will use the sounds of Indian music. He said this at a function organized on the occasion of 90th birth anniversary of Purushottam Narayan Gadgil Saraf Pedhi in Sangli today.
Gadkari has said that the people of the country are troubled by water, air and noise pollution. Therefore, necessary measures are being taken in this regard.
However, this rule is already in force in Kerala. There the traffic police keep sound meters with them, where they can measure the noise limit of noisy vehicles. If any vehicle outside makes more noise then its challan is deducted.
