The Jawaharlal Nehru University administration has warned the students that violence of any kind will not be tolerated on the campus and appealed to the students to maintain peace and harmony. This appeal has been made after the incident of violence between two groups of students in the university campus yesterday.
JNU Vice Chancellor has asked the warden to take immediate steps to avoid any clash. He has said that security instructions have been given to be alert to prevent such incidents and submit the report to the JNU administration soon. The students have been warned not to indulge in such incidents which disturb the peace and harmony on the campus.
The JNU administration said that if anyone is found indulging in such acts, disciplinary action will be taken as per the rules of the university.
