NEW DELHI: Outlining a national blueprint to establish India as a premier global hub for technology and innovation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the rapid expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced digital technologies. He detailed an ambitious target to train one crore youth in cutting-edge AI proficiencies, positioning the country at the forefront of the future global knowledge economy.
The Prime Minister stated that innovation, scientific research, and deep-tech form the bedrock of sustainable economic advancement in a rapidly evolving global landscape. With the world’s largest youth demographic and a robust digital public infrastructure, India is uniquely positioned to lead this transition. Equipping young professionals with expertise in AI, machine learning, and data analytics will not only drive global-scale tech solutions from India but also fuel high-value domestic employment and startup growth.
Educational and skilling curricula are being updated to ensure that opportunities reach beyond major metropolises into Tier-2, Tier-3 cities, and rural belts. The Prime Minister called upon academic institutions, scientific researchers, and technology enterprises to collaborate on India-centric innovations, deploying artificial intelligence across healthcare, agriculture, and education to directly benefit citizens.
